Description
FOXO4-DRI (Senolytic Peptide)
FOXO4-DRI is a synthetic D-retro-inverso peptide designed to selectively disrupt the interaction between the FOXO4 protein and p53 in senescent cells. By interfering with this pathway, FOXO4-DRI is researched for its potential as a senolytic agent — capable of inducing apoptosis (programmed cell death) in senescent cells while sparing healthy ones.
Research Properties:
- Senolytic Activity: Studied for its ability to selectively clear senescent (zombie) cells that accumulate with age and contribute to chronic inflammation and tissue dysfunction.
- Anti-Aging & Tissue Regeneration: Investigated for potential to reduce age-related tissue damage and promote healthier tissue function.
- Longevity Research: Explored in models for its possible role in extending healthspan and lifespan by targeting one of the hallmarks of aging (cellular senescence).
Administration in Research:
- Subcutaneous injection
Important Research Notes:
- FOXO4-DRI is considered a potent senolytic and is still highly experimental.
- Researchers should be aware of potential interactions with compounds such as Rapamycin, Quercetin, and corticosteroids. A washout period is commonly observed in research protocols.
- Healthy cells in organs with limited regenerative capacity (including reproductive organs) may also be affected in some models.
For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption. FOXO4-DRI is intended strictly for laboratory research and in-vitro experimentation.
